As it turned out our stay wasn’t too bad.  The hotel it has to be said was not what we had expected, with the name Arte Hotel, we or certainly I had expected something more, something a bit more quirky, a bit more something rather than some vaguely contemporary artworks on the wall but we didn’t get it.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, walking around with smiles on their faces and always keen to help out, which was great as we were not sure of our bearings at all and still hadn’t really settled into our trip at that stage.

Breakfast consisted of a continental style but one thing that did stand out we’re the freshly produced juices of apple and carrot or apple and beet root – no prizes for guessing who had which but I can say apple and carrot one was very nice, it washed down the scrambled egg and bacon in just the right way.

Overall I think it is safe to say we were a little disappointed with the hotel but we couldn’t fault the staff.
