We hope that you are all well, creative, and enjoying the beautiful Spring weather that has finally arrived.

As usual, at this time of the year, CFCP is planning our activities for 2024 while running in the background the preparation for the events planned for this year.

CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS

We invite submissions from PROFESSIONAL migrant and culturally diverse artists and local artists working with culturally diverse artists for our 2024 visual arts and multidisciplinary programme. We especially welcome participatory, collaborative, multidisciplinary and experimental proposals by individual artists and by collectives. As usual – artists’ fees, production and marketing costs will be covered, and curatorial and production support offered by CFCP. Up to 10 projects will be selected. STUDIO VISITS – last year we started making regular studio visits to meet artists we already know and the new ones in their working environment and have an in-depth conversation about their practice.

UPCOMING EXHIBITIONS AND EVENTS

CFCP’S 2023 PROGRAMME is in progress, features an impressive selection of projects by female migrant and culturally diverse artists and includes:

1.2 and Raising – a solo show by a sculptor and visual artist and climate activist – Nicola Anthony

The Weight of Darkness – a solo exhibition of sculptures to be experienced through touch by Leia Mocan

Sounds of Home – a soundscape by Dorone Paris, Noa Treister and Syrian refugees

Beady Pocket Art – an embroidery project by Martina Passman with young Traveller women

Funny Foreigners – standup comedy workshop for migrant artists w Petra Kindle

Creative Writing – workshops and a self-published anthology of poems and songs from residents of
Direct Provision, facilitated by Rosy Wilson.

At CFCP we are delighted and proud to be working with a group of so skilled artists and support them in our capacity as curators and producers of these projects.

MENTORING

As in previous years, CFCP offers up to 3 free hours of 1-2-1 mentoring for migrant and culturally diverse artists and local artists working with culturally diverse artists. Our mentoring support encompasses the development of artistic practice, curatorial support as well as sustainability and the business side of artistic careers. Feel free to get in touch.
